Rob IIInglewud is a contemporary American artist who lives and works in Buffalo, New York. He is known for his stylized acrylic drip paintings combining images and text. His inventive techniques blend detailed content with bright and vibrant colors to yield ambiguous critiques of his own mind. "I always hope people can feel my paintings from wherever I am to wherever they are. That they can see the motion and movement in every aspect of the painting. Every time I make anything it is a generalization of my very complex emotions." Born Robert Carson Jr. on February 3, 1996 in Buffalo New York, the Artists style of work is self-taught, but sites Kerry Chiodo, Elizabeth Larrabee, Steph Von Rhapsody, Raymond Pettibon, and Don Pendleton as instructive to his practice. Deriving inspiration from comics, music, water fronts, red wine and pop culture iconography. IIInglewud has often voiced that he finds the narrative in his paintings through the sounds of artists such as; Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Cro-Mags, Black Flag, Hatebreed, Duke Ellington, and Frank Sinatra.
